TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Thank you for choosing to book with Echuca Holiday Homes.

All bookings are accepted on the basis that you have read, understood and agreed to the following terms and conditions and house rules.

If you do not agree to the terms and conditions, you are welcome to cancel within 48 hours of booking, with a full refund.

Credit card fees paid at the time of booking are non-refundable, as these are charged by a payment gateway.

AGE & GROUP TYPE RESTRICTIONS:

EHH DOES NOT ACCEPT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES HENS, BUCKS, SPORTING GROUPS, SCHOOLIES OR PARTY GROUPS.

ADDITIONALLY, WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY GROUPS THAT WE FEEL WILL BREACH OUR TERMS AND RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DENY BOOKINGS AT OUR DISCRETION.

IF YOU DISREGARD THIS POLICY, YOU WILL BE TURNED AWAY ON ARRIVAL WITH NO REFUND

WE HAVE AN ABSOLUTELY NO NOISE AND PARTY POLICY.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

We understand that with everyone leading such busy lives, things can crop up and change your holiday plans!

If this happens, we ask you to contact us as soon as possible. The more notice we have, the more chance we can re-rent your house.

Cancellations 4 weeks or more from arrival date

Upon booking, we require a 50% deposit. For bookings cancelled four or more weeks out from your arrival date, we offer a full refund minus a $110 cancellation fee, subject to the home being re-rented. If we cannot re-rent the home, you will forfeit your deposit.  If you choose to pay the full amount upon booking you will forfeit only the required deposit amount of 50%, minus the cancellation fee.

Cancellations within 4 weeks of arrival

If you cancel within four weeks or do not show up for your booking the full amount paid is forfeited. If you cancel, we will do everything we can to re-rent your house for the same period.

If we can re-rent the home for the same rate you will receive your deposit back less a $110 cancellation fee.

If the home is re-rented for a lesser amount you will receive your deposit back, less the difference between booking totals and less the cancellation charge.

PRE AUTHORISATION SECURITY DEPOSIT

Echuca Holiday Homes take a pre-authorisation security deposit for every reservation and we process this prior to arrival.

The security deposit required is different for each property. Please check your booking information.

Check-in will not be granted until you have provided your credit card details and the pre-authorisation has been successfully processed.

NSW FAIR TRADING CODE OF CONDUCT FOR THE SHORT-TERM RENTAL INDUSTRY

Guests who breach the code will be put on an Exclusion Register for 5 years which leads to them being banned from being able to book any Short-Term Rental in NSW. We are required to enforce the code of conduct.

The code requires guests not to:

  • make noise that is unreasonably disruptive or interferes with the peace and comfort of neighbours and other occupants.
  • act in a violent or threatening manner.
  • act in a manner that could reasonably cause alarm or distress to neighbours and other occupants.
  • use or enjoy the premises in a manner that unreasonably interferes with the use or enjoyment of common or association property in a strata or community land scheme by neighbours or other occupants.
  • intentionally, recklessly, or negligently damage the personal property of neighbours or other occupants.
  • A guest must not copy, or knowingly retain, any keys or security passes at the end of the occupancy.

 DAMAGE DEPOSIT AND EXTRA FEES

The Echuca Holiday Homes team inspects each home and inventories its contents between each reservation. You become financially responsible for all damage and loss to the property and its contents from the date and time you check-in to the date and time you check-out. If you cause damage to the property, furniture, or furnishings, this must be reported to Echuca Holiday Homes immediately.

By accepting our Terms and Conditions and this agreement you agree that any damages caused by you and/or your accompanying party will be deducted from your damage deposit or charged to your credit card, and that you will also be liable for any excess damages.

We also reserve the right to charge additional fees at our discretion for liabilities including, but not limited, to the following:

  • Damage caused by guests.
  • Additional guests not disclosed in booking.
  • Replacement of lost keys.
  • Callouts to the property due to an issue caused by the guests or guest’s failure to read instructions in the Welcome Book or in our communications with the guest.
  • Noise complaints from neighbours due to excessive noise.
  • Evidence of a party or non-disclosed function.
  • Breach of rental agreement.
  • Fire lit in areas not designated for fire. (i.e. in places other than operational fireplace or firepit)
  • Damage or mess caused by pets/animals.
  • BBQ not cleaned.
  • Removal of excess rubbish.
  • Excess cleaning requirements.
  • Smoking inside the property.
  • Pets brought to a non-pet friendly property.
  • Late check out.

CLAIMS

If there is a claim taken from a held security deposit, or a charge made to the saved credit card, the agent will charge an administration fee of $110, to cover our costs to investigate and process the claim.

CHECK IN PROCEDURE

CHECK IN TIME: 3.00pm

The check-in instructions and security codes are emailed to the guest 24 hours prior to arrival.

CHECK OUT PROCEDURE

CHECK OUT TIME: 10.00am

The Digital Welcome Book emailed to you will explain the checkout procedure. Late checkouts will be charged at full daily rental without exception, unless with prior arrangement from Echuca Holiday Homes. Check out time is 10am.

NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS

NSW Fair Trading laws state that no more than the number of guests agreed and paid for in writing, may be on the property at any point in time without prior written permission, this includes visitors and day trippers.

Unless otherwise previously agreed with Echuca Holiday Homes, all holiday accommodation must only be used for private, residential use and only accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking confirmation. No functions or parties may be conducted at the property under any circumstances. Exceeding the stated number of guests at any time will result in a termination of your booking and you being required to vacate the holiday accommodation immediately without refund.

Caravans and the erection of tents is strictly prohibited.

CLEANING CHARGES

A standard departure clean is included in the tariff. Should extra cleaning be required, the cost will be passed on to the guest and charged to the payment card held on file.

The Digital Welcome Book details the check out and cleaning procedures.

The minimum charge for excess cleaning is one (1) hour and the hourly rate is $60 per hour incl GST.  This rate will increase when cleans are conducted on weekends and public holidays.

NOISE/NUISANCE POLICY AND PENALTIES

Additional charges or immediate termination may apply in the event of unnecessary or excessive noise nuisance or disturbance caused to neighbouring properties during your occupancy. EHH has the absolute and sole discretion to cancel occupancy if guest actions or behaviour compromise the safety and quiet enjoyment of neighbouring properties or others. Should your stay be cancelled due to noise/nuisance, there is no entitlement to a refund.

Penalties

50% of the damage deposit if we are required to contact you after the first warning.

100% of the damage deposit for any further warnings, and the option to cancel your occupancy and be evicted from the property, with no refund.

SUBSTITUTION OF PROPERTY

Echuca Holiday Homes reserves the right to offer guests alternate accommodation of a similar standard, as available, at our discretion if the booked property becomes unavailable.

In the unlikely event, we will notify you as soon as possible and make every reasonable effort to ensure you are satisfied. We cannot guarantee accommodation and, should an alternative not be found, upon your cancellation, your booking will be refunded in full, excluding credit card fees paid at time of booking.

ATTENDANCE AT PROPERTY

Echuca Holiday Homes respects guests’ privacy but does reserve the right to enter the property at any time to protect and/or undertake maintenance of the property. We will provide notice to the guests wherever possible.

CALL OUT

Should the host, a tradesperson or a representative from our team be called to the property and the issue is deemed to be caused by a guest, equipment owned by a guest, or the call out is deemed unnecessary a call out fee of $110.00 applies and will be deducted from the damage deposit.

GUEST PROPERTY

Guests are solely responsible for their belongings whilst staying at the property and are required to take the usual steps to prevent any property loss, including locking premises and vehicles when not attended. We reserve the right to charge a $25 fee to collect and post lost property. If not claimed within 30 days, unclaimed items will be donated to charity. Items which could be deemed unsafe or unhygienic to store (e.g., personal hygiene products, grooming products, drugs, and other items which risk the safety of our team) will be disposed of immediately or reported and provided to appropriate authorities as necessary.

Guests must be responsible for their own property. Echuca Holiday Homes cannot be held responsible for forces of nature which result in damages or loss to guest property.

WILDLIFE

Our properties are maintained and cleaned regularly; however, wildlife is common in country areas. EHH and/or the owner does not accept liability, nor will any compensation be offered for the unfortunate or seasonal visits of any wildlife including, but not limited to, rodents, insects, bats, cockroaches, kangaroos, wombats, snakes, etc.

INDEMNITY & LIABILITY The Guest is responsible for their own travel/health insurance. Neither the property Owner or Manager shall be held responsible in any way for accidental injury, death, or damage/loss to personal effects of the Guest.

If, due to circumstances beyond the Owner’s control, such as flood, fire or other damage, and the Owner is unable to honour this agreement, the booking amount shall be fully refunded minus the credit card fee incurred during payment.

The Guest is responsible for all damages, excluding wear and tear, including those which exceed the deposit amount. By confirming this booking upon payment, the Guest and Manager agree to all the terms and conditions in this agreement.
